Pathways Community Behavioral Healthcare, Inc and Royal Oaks Hospital are behavioral healthcare organizations that know the need for services far exceeds available resources. Because of this scarcity many children and their families don’t have access to much needed services. The Foundation is focused on bridging this gap, especially in rural or under-served areas.
The For the Children Foundation was also formed to raise awareness and educate others about childrens' mental health issues. With so many children suffering from depression, suicidal thoughts and alcohol or drug abuse, we believe we can help by bringing awareness to these issues and resources into our communities.

My daughter is 6 years old and was having panic attacks. Our counselor was so kind, soft-spoken and very hard working. Since we've been seeing her, my daughter has only had one panic attack. It has changed our lives. Thank you!
Therapy, medication management and in-home services have helped her children tremendously by being able to set goals for everyday problems and behavior. Having a Community Support Specialist as an additional source helps to confirm rules and expectations that I, as a parent, am trying to teach and instill in my children.
Several months ago, my son was a very angry and depressed little boy. Every day was heartbreaking because of fights, suspensions from school, temper tantrums and the crying. After meeting with our wonderful, caring therapist my son realized he could be his own person and that many people cared about him. Most of all, she taught him it was okay to be a little boy with feelings of his own. He is now a very happy and attentive 9 year old.
My daughter has Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), which puts her on the Autism Spectrum. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have access to services. Without the support of our case manager we would have been going through a really hard time alone. I can't say how much this has helped us.
