Royal Oaks Hospital provides acute, inpatient care for young patients up to the age of 12 in the children's program. Adolescents, ages 13-17 years of age who are experiencing behavioral and emotional problems are welcome at Royal Oaks Hospital as well. Pathways Community Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. provides many services for children and adolescents including outpatient therapy, treatment for children with serious emotional disturbances, case management, day treatment and intensive in-home services. Pathways also provides substance abuse treatment services for adolescents, including a residential component.
